“Soul House (Red)” gains more national honors

Brent Funderburk’s watercolor painting “Soul House (Red)” was recently awarded the “Evergreen Artist Association Award” at the 46th Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Exhibition (RMNW) at the Center for the Arts Evergreen in Colorado.

Selected as one of the 21 show awards by juror Sterling Edwards, “Soul House (Red)” will be on display September 13 through October 26, 2019. Edwards selected 70 out of 462 submissions for the nationally renowned, competitive survey of art produced using contemporary water-based media. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country.

“Soul House (Red)” has also been represented as an award winner in Splash: the Best of Watercolor”, Creative Quarterly: the Journal of Art and Design”, and Southwest Art Magazine in 2019-20.
