A feature article about the art of Mississippi State University faculty member Brent Funderburk appears in the current (August 2016) issue of “Watercolor Artist Magazine”, a national publication of the ArtistsNetwork/F & W Publishing group. Written by New York writer, author and artist John A. Parks, the eight-page article “Drama, Extravagance and Poetry”, presents the creative background and processes of the artist in seven artworks from Funderburk’s “Flying World” and “New Solar Myths” series.

A William L. Giles Distinguished Professor, Funderburk has taught at Mississippi State University since 1982. He was awarded MSU’s SEC Faculty Achievement Award in 2016.
