Mississippi State University William L. Giles Distinguished Professor Emeritus Brent Funderburk is the recipient of this year’s “Excellence in Visual Arts and Education” award and was recognized at the 36th Governor’s Arts Awards (GAA) ceremony in February.

Mississippi State University Department of Art Emeritus Professor Brent Funderburk is one of four artists presented in the feature article “Inspiration in Bloom” in the current Issue of Watercolor Artist.

Mississippi painter Brent Funderburk has had recent notice in several national and international art exhibitions, including being awarded the “International Society of Experimental Artists Award” and merchandise prizes in the 2020 National Watercolor Society (NWS) Centennial International Open Exhibition, now on display, through December 20, 2020.
